GRP Linings Protective Coatings

Our tank refurbishment and repair service offers customer consultation to provide the
best and most economical solution. We offer a wide and varied range of materials, GRP and epoxies included.

Steel Surfaces are prepared by a grit blasting technique to achieve SA 2½ standard. Concrete surfaces are prepared by mechanical abrading and grit blasting.

Once surfaces have been prepared, a coat of resin and S1 powder mixed to a paste will be applied by trowel, followed by 2 layers of chopped strand matting, followed by tissue veil. An inspection and test will then take place, either visual or spark. Once this has been completed, a resin and wax coat will then be applied for completion.

Methods used include hand application using trowels, rollers, etc.

Some of the projects we have undertaken involving GRP Linings are shown in the accompanying photos.
